Ornis Fennica Special Issue on Cormorants
Welcome to submit a manuscript for the special issue Ecology of cormorants in a changing world of Ornis Fennica. The scope covers any topic related to the ecology, behaviour and biogeography of cormorants or shags (Phalacrocoracidae).
The deadline for submissions is 31st of October 2026 with plan to publication in spring 2027.
Ornis Fennica is an open-access peer-reviewed journal without page charges for publication.
Manuscripts must be submitted through the channel for contributions to Ornis Fennica (see more here) and must adhere to the format and scope of the journal.
Please, mention in the cover letter following the manuscript that you are submitting a manuscript for the special issue about cormorants. The submissions will go through the regular review and decision process of the journal.
In addition to regular manuscripts, also short communications are welcome for this special issue. Guidelines on short communication manuscripts are available at the Author Guidelines.
