Ornis Fennica is a peer-reviewed international ornithological journal published by BirdLife Finland. We are a diamond open-access journal without page charges for publication. All published articles (from 1924 onwards) are freely available in the Archives section.
Welcome to submit a manuscript for the special issue Ecology of cormorants in a changing world of Ornis Fennica. The scope covers any topic related to the ecology, behaviour and biogeography of cormorants or shags (Phalacrocoracidae).
The deadline for submissions is 31st of October 2026 with plan to publication in spring 2027.
